Back in 2008 when TheDeadbolt spoke to original V creator, Kenneth Johnson, and broke the exclusive about the new V remake, we knew that V had finally gained the necessary traction after years of failed attempts to revive the series on various networks. So when we learned that V was picked up by ABC and that fans would finally see a modern reincarnation of V, we couldn't wait to see how V would play to fans in a completely new and modern era 26 years after the original V mini-series.

Earlier this month TheDeadbolt was invited to the annual SyFy Digital Press Tour in Vancouver where we got the SyFy skinny on the sets of Stargate Universe, Caprica, and Sanctuary, with a preview of Alice, the upcoming SyFy reimagining of the classic Alice in Wonderland. With the new Battlestar Galactica prequel, Caprica, nearly three months away from air and Sanctuary now in Season 2 swing on SyFy, we're jumping ahead to give Sanctuary fans the lowdown on what we saw on the set and what we heard from the Sanctuary Visual Effects Supervisor, cast and crew as they gave journalists a preview of the new season.

Thanks to the success of the Twilight Saga and the first Twilight adaptation, vampire movies and vampires in general are dominating the pop-culture landscape, from Twilight fashion to New Moon merchandise and everything in between. With Halloween now upon us under a new Twilight moon, with fans sinking their teeth into all things Twilight Saga and stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, TheDeadbolt has put together a list of 10 Twilight inspired vampire movies to celebrate the yearly All Hallows Eve.

The biggest question surrounding the upcoming Universal Pictures release of The Fourth Kind is whether the "true events" within the fourth kind alien abduction film starring Milla Jovovich are real or whether the extraterrestrial events are the byproduct of a clever fourth kind marketing campaign. Interestingly, ahead of the November 6 release of The Fourth Kind, when you search the web for discussion about The Fourth Kind, moviegoers appear to be divided over a search for The Fourth Kind truth. With purported archival footage from alien abduction psychiatry sessions with the Milla Jovovich character, Dr. Abigail Tyler, and alleged fourth kind disappearances relating to alien abduction in Nome, Alaska, The Fourth Kind has created new online extraterrestrial controversy.

Now that the Universal Pictures release of The Fourth Kind will soon be in theaters on November 6, alien abductions are front and center in the social consciousness after extraterrestrial buffs were abducted by the popularity of aliens in the 90s of the fourth kind. Starring Milla Jovovich, Elias Koteas, and Will Patton, about alleged real life alien abductions in Nome, Alaska, The Fourth Kind taps into that primal fear of the unknown deep inside all of us humans. With less than two weeks to go before the release of The Fourth Kind and moviegoers second guess their travel plans to Alaska, we’re casting fourth kind fear to the alien wayside to take a look a four common aliens said to have committed fourth kind human kidnappings around the world.

After extraterrestrials made a comeback in the mid-'90s to abduct our inquiring minds about those little green (grey) men from outer space, the upcoming Universal Pictures release of The Fourth Kind is stirring up the public's fascination with aliens all over again with a new story of alien contact of the fourth kind. In 1977, director Stephen Spielberg introduced moviegoers to the meaning of a third kind encounter, contact with aliens, in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Now Universal and director Olatunde Osunsanmi are introducing moviegoers to The Fourth Kind, starring Milla Jovovich, Elias Koteas, and Will Patton about alleged real life alien abductions in Nome, Alaska.

Fox’s Glee has quickly become one of the year’s breakout hits, with a fantastic cast and even better soundtrack, and continues to climb the television ratings with each new episode. Glee, based on the resurrection of a high school glee club by Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), is a smart look at how music really has no boundaries. Will’s arch-nemisis is Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), the cheerleading coach and adamant protestor of everything the glee club represents who deviously infiltrates the club with her own squad of talented cheerleaders.

Given the increasing Twilight buzz surrounding New Moon star Robert Pattinson, it should come as no surprise to any Twilight Saga fan of Pattinson that the Twilight lead doesn't know how long he wants to be an actor. In a recent Twilight Pattinson interview with Seventeen Magazine (via MTV), that's exactly what Robert Pattinson revealed, stating, "I don't even know if I want to be an actor that long." Also, in relation to future movies beyond Twilight, New Moon, and the Twilight Saga in general, Pattinson admitted, "... if I start doing lame work, I'm not going to stick around and do it!" Interestingly, Robert Pattinson also revealed in the Twilight and New Moon related interview that he felt uncertain about his image from Twilight and that also being on the Twilight soundtrack at the same time made him looked ridiculous.

After an introduction from Stagate Universe creator David Wright and Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Original Programming at SyFy, TheDeadbolt, along with host Josh Gates of SyFy's Destination Truth and a handful of North American press, were treated to a full demonstration of the new Stargate in action, which kicked off with a thunderous BANG and clouds of steam. Although no one dared to jump through the new Stargate in action, SG-U creator Brad Wright did take time to point to the bottom of the Gate and explain how Stargate fans have always wanted to see where the two hidden Chevrons led to if explored, which is one of the foundations of the new series. And for those looking for secrets as to why the Chevrons are shaped the way they are as symbols, Wright humorously explained in simple terms, "Well, they're Chevron shaped."
