Mike Judge Extracts Ben Affleck for New Movie

After settling down to have a family with wife/actress Jennifer Garner, plus sticking it to the media Affleck naysayers with his solid role in Hollywoodland and an acclaimed directorial debut with Gone Baby Gone, actor Ben Affleck has signed on to Mike Judge’s upcoming comedy Extract.

According to Variety<, Affleck will step into the shoes of a lawyer in Extract next to co-star Jason Bateman, who plays an unlucky and unfortunate flower factory owner who needs to deal with actor Clifton Collins Jr., a factory employee who loses a limb in an unexpected accident.

While Affleck reportedly awaits the birth of his second child with Garner, he’ll also be looking ahead to his roles in She’s Just Not That Into You and State of Play in 2009. Director Mike Judge, the creator of Office Space, Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill will be looking to rebound after his 2006 futuristic outing Idiocracy.
