Seth Rogen Follows Up on Green Hornet, Edward Furlong, and Anvil
by Reg Seeton
After
years spent in development hell, passing through
the hands of a variety of directors and writers,
including Kevin Smith, the big screen reimagining
of the 1960s TV series, The Green Hornet is alive
and well in the hands of Seth Rogen who's hard
at work on the set of The Green Hornet and the
upcoming DreamWorks animated special, Monsters
vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space,
which airs on NBC Wednesday, October 28 at 8pm.
While on a multi-journalist conference call
today with Seth Rogen for the Monsters
vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space
on NBC in which Seth Rogen voices the
character B.O.B alongside the vocal talents
of Reese Witherspoon, we got the chance to follow
up on The Green Hornet with Rogen about online
word that Terminator 2 and Detroit Rock City
actor Edward Furlong had a role in The Green
Hornet.
As People reported a couple of weeks ago about Edward Furlong landing a role in The Green Hornet, Seth Rogen told TheDeadbolt's Troy Rogers that Edward Furlong is indeed in The Green Hornet. "Edward Furlong is in the movie, yes," admitted Rogen to TheDeadbolt's question. But as for what Green Hornet role Edward Furlong plays, Rogen was tight lipped when prodded further. "[laughs] That I can't reveal."
It
was also reported not long ago that Canadian
'80s metal icons, Anvil, will also be making
an appearance to rock out with Rogen and the
gang in Green Hornet. When TheDeadbolt dug deeper
into how Anvil found their way into The Green
Hornet, Seth Rogen told us and several journalists
that director Michel Gondry already had the
metal pulse on Anvil that fit well with The
Green Hornet. "Well, as a Canadian hard rock
fan," Rogen dished. "I actually have known about
Anvil for many many years and we needed a band
for a scene in the movie and [Michel] Gondry
was like, 'How about Anvil?' and we asked them
and they said yes."
Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins
from Outer Space, based the popular animated
big screen hit Monsters vs. Aliens, will air
on NBC Wednesday, October 28 at 8pm.

vs. Aliens interview with Seth Rogen over the
