How Many Twilight Sneak Peeks of New Moon Are Too Many?
by Troy Rogers

With countless Twilight Saga New Moon photos released online and a slew of new New Moon clips hitting the web on a weekly basis, eventually Twilight Saga fans will have the entire New Moon film in pieces, which begs the Twilight question: Is it even worth the trouble to see New Moon in the theater?

Is Summit Entertainment releasing too much of New Moon ahead of the November 20 Twilight Saga premiere? Lately some of the frenzied Twilight anticipation for New Moon feels to be eroding away with so many New Moon photos and clips of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the New Moon wolf pack now online. And with New Moon still four weeks away from its Twilight premiere, it's safe to assume Twilight and New Moon fans will see even more before the Twilight Saga sequel hits theaters. To some Twilight degree, the many New Moon photos and clips feel as through we're sneaking a peek at Twilight Saga Christmas presents and then trying to act surprised when New Moon Christmas morning arrives.

At this point, should we still be excited over all of the New Moon coverage? The excitement over New Moon is understandable and certainly makes Twilight Saga fans happy. Now another new New Moon clip has been released featuring the Volturi clan in New Moon. Although the new New Moon clip is cool, it's starting to feel a little too much and diluting the Twilight surprise.

By the time November 20 comes, Twilight Saga fans will be so hyped for New Moon that fans may not realize how much of New Moon they've already seen from the many New Moon photos and clips already released. Although I'm still Twilight psyched to see New Moon and can't wait, I'm curious if other Twilight Saga fans feel the same way. With only four weeks until the premiere of New Moon, is it fair to call for a Twilight Saga moratorium on New Moon clips and photos to keep the Twilight sequel excitement intact?

The will never be able to show me too much.. I have seen everything that they have out already and I still bought four tickets to go see it... They could show me the whole movie and I still would want to see it... If people don't want to see it then don't look for it.. Like Krystal said.. it is our choice to look.. And I myself really love to look.. It only makes me want to see it more.

So basically this is what we have seen so far:

1) The Illusion Edward appears as
2) The Volturi
3) Jasper's attack
4) Jacob's tranformation
5) Edward leaving
6) Edward shirtless (I'm not complaining)
7) The battle with the Volturi
8) The motorcycles
9) Jacob shirtless (Still not complaining)
10) Some of Bella's dream sequence
11) The wolf pack (Emily's scar included)
12) Laurent & Victoria
13) Bella screaming at night
14) Cliff diving
15) The porche

We just need the vote from the Cullens & Edward's "Marry me" ultimatum, both which are at the end. Add some sparkles and just string it all together.

I just really hope that, come November 20th, I don't go to watch the movie and end up disappointed to find that its just like putting the trailers and stills in chronological order. Hopefully Chris Weitz has some tricks up his sleeves, or else Summit seriously jeopardized its baby by releasing virtually all the footage in separate segments.

So, yes it is a bit much. I went from being extremely excited to being kind of apprehensive. I still worship Edward though =P

Hopefully the same doesn't happen with Eclipse!!

I don't think they've shown too much, there is a lot of footage out there that wasn't officially released and people (myself included) will only find it if they go looking for it. Some of us don't mind spoilers and actually seek them with every intention of still seeing the movie afterward. Also, to date I have not seen *1* New Moon commercial on TV so they're obviously not splurging too much on advertising.

Not only haven't I seen a commercial on TV, but when I go to the movies I don't even see previews there!! But still, I think it's too much online & at award shows.

Not that many...like someone said they're more like teasers. We haven't seen the entire scene or what comes before and after. I hated that they showed the break up scene (i watched lol!) that was way too important to show! I am looking forward to some Jacob scene.. V

I don't think it's too much plus it's not even the stuff I'm really excited for like the rest of the birthday scene and anything Alice and Jasper. Besides,I'm just gonna watch the movie 3 zillion times anyway. So I'm loving this actually.I love spoilers!

I don't really think it's too much cuz the clips are more teasers than anything. Fans are still psyched to see New Moon! But I do think they need to leave more to be desired and not spoil everything.

I as most of you have already read the books, so of course I know the outcome, and I agree they are showing entirely too many clips, giving way too much away, but I have to admit, I find myself replaying them and getting more and more excited to watch the movie, which is the whole idea behind it!

I agree, and that's why I've stopped watching all of the new clips.
I saw the first few clips they released but I'm not going to watch anymore until I see the movie.
