Four Aliens of Fourth Kind Abductions
by Larson Hill

Now that the Universal Pictures release of The Fourth Kind will soon be in theaters on November 6, alien abductions are front and center in the social consciousness after extraterrestrial buffs were abducted by the popularity of aliens in the 90s of the fourth kind. Starring Milla Jovovich, Elias Koteas, and Will Patton, about alleged real life alien abductions in Nome, Alaska, The Fourth Kind taps into that primal fear of the unknown deep inside all of us humans. With less than two weeks to go before the release of The Fourth Kind and moviegoers second guess their travel plans to Alaska, we’re casting fourth kind fear to the alien wayside to take a look a four common aliens said to have committed fourth kind human kidnappings around the world.

The story of The Fourth Kind centers on a series of mysterious disappearances in Nome, Alaska that leads psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) to video tape her traumatized patients in an attempt to understand the truth of the fourth kind. However, as The Fourth Kind unfolds, Dr. Tyler soon discovers disturbing evidence of fourth kind alien abduction as the reason for the mysterious Nome disappearances. Perhaps the most intriguing (and frightening) aspect of The Fourth Kind is how the patients of Milla Jovovich as Dr. Abigail Tyler report sightings of an owl at their window, which, if you look at the trailer for The Fourth Kind, has an obvious extraterrestrial connection to the typical alien known as a Grey when the owl's eyes enlarge into big black terrifying alien-like optics.

After our own online research into abductions of the fourth kind, here are four aliens of the fourth kind that we've encountered on the web.

The Grey

Although any fourth kind encounter that blends reality with aliens may be a device for humans to process extraterrestrial imagery with something we're already familiar with, like an owl in The Fourth Kind, humans have also become familiar with Grey aliens. In relation to the owl-like imagery in The Fourth Kind, by far the most common alien behind many fourth kind alien abduction claims has been the Grey. Prior to The Fourth Kind, who can forget the Grey abduction sequence in the 1993 film Fire in the Sky?

A quick description of the most common Grey is that of a tiny humanoid being with grey skin, a large head, and large slanted black eyes like an upside down teardrop. In The Fourth Kind, that's the owl imagery that we see. Although Grey aliens are the most commonly reported extraterrestrials in most reports of fourth kind encounters, there are also other types of Grey aliens. Much like humans, Grey aliens are reported to come in all frames and sizes, from small to tall, young and old. With so much attention surrounding The Fourth Kind, it raises the question of whether humans are somehow related to Grey aliens. Interestingly, from what our fourth kind research has uncovered, most Grey alien abduction events appear to occur the most in Canada, which, ironically for fans of The Fourth Kind on the west coast, is close to Alaska.

The Nordics

For those in the fourth kind know, alien abduction claims haven't been confined to one alien species. While the Grey aliens appear to mainly abduct North American beings, unsuspecting U.K. residents, and potential fans of The Fourth kind, get snatched in a fourth kind encounter by a different type of alien altogether. The extraterrestrial visitors to the U.K. are said to be aliens known as Nordics who fourth kind abductees have claimed to be Nordic in appearance. Commonly exceeding six feet in height, also reported to be as tall as twenty-four feet, with pale white skin, pale white lips, and blond or white hair, reports of the Nordics first surfaced around the U.K. in the 1950s. A main reported difference between Greys and Nordics is that most fourth kind encounters with Nordics haven't been as traumatic. In fact, some who claim to have had a Nordic encounter of the fourth kind say the Nordics are trying to help the human race rather than harm Earthlings. And if you believe some reports, apparently some claim that President Dwight D. Eisenhower thought so too.

Reptoids

The other well known fourth kind alien species said to abduct humans are a race known as the Reptoids, which are, for lack of a better scientific term, lizard men. Fourth kind reports of Reptoids have been wildly fantastical in nature with claims surrounding world leaders and global conspiracies. For this fourth kind feature, however, the alien abduction reports of the fourth kind claim there are three main types of Reptoids that range from five to nine feet in height with colors from green to grey. And while the Grey alien race can be terrifying, the Reptoids are reported to be the nasty bunch within the universe. One popular theory purports that the Reptoids control Greys who commit fourth kind abductions in the service of Reptoids. What do Reptoids want from humans? Based on our fourth kind research, it appears that humans are simply cattle, which would explain away the suspected fourth kind abductees that disappear and don't return to our world.

Insectoids - Mantas

The final fourth kind abduction candidate, Insectoids, or Mantas aliens, aren't so common among fourth kind events. Unlike the typical alien perception, Insectoids are said to look like insects with Praying Mantis-like features. Fourth kind reports claim these extraterrestrials have big bug like eyes with thin scaly, insect like bodies and average between four to seven feet in height. Some reports suggest Insectoids wear hooded robes and are often accompanied by small Greys.

Often reported to be in a fourth kind leadership role or an alien abduction physician capacity, some fourth kind claims indicate Insectoids are typically the fourth kind aliens working on abductees during the terrifying abduction experiments who can be extremely rough on their human test subjects after a fourth kind abduction. If all of these fourth kind claims were somehow validated, it's clear why images of Insectoids paralyze fourth kind abductees and explain why such a fourth kind experience would be suppressed in the mind.

Given what we see in the upcoming Universal release of The Fourth Kind with Milla Jovovich and the four alien species that humans could potentially encounter in a fourth kind alien abduction, an owl with big black eyes may be the least of an abductee's worries.
