With buzz for New Moon mounting within the Twilight universe, actor Robert Pattinson was in Tokyo promoting the release of New Moon along with director Chris Weitz where the Twilight Saga star discovered he's still just as popular as ever in Japan.

With Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner promoting New Moon elsewhere on the planet, Robert Pattinson and New Moon director Chris Weitz greeted their Japanese fans in Tokyo on Tuesday where Pattinson revealed his surprise at how far his Twilight and New Moon popularity reaches around the world among Twilight Saga fans of all languages.

Although Tokyo fans of New Moon may not speak English, the voice of Robert Pattinson is certainly enough to illicit screams from female Twilighters everywhere. Speaking through an interpreter, Robert Pattinson addressed New Moon fans in Tokyo, "Thank you all so much for coming," Pattinson said amid Twilight Saga screams. "It's always really surprising, whenever we go anywhere in the world, there seems to be so many people everywhere who are just as passionate. ... It's always just amazing to find that out.
