Twilight Director Confirms Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Romance?

As Twilight rumors swirl around the alleged off set romance between New Moon stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke confirms that she warned Pattinson and Stewart about hooking up during the shooting of Twilight. As for how things have evolved for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart since Twilight, Hardwicke gives a cryptic answer to the romantic Twilight Saga question on the minds of New Moon fans.
Are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart a real life Twilight item? According to Time, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke reveals that romance was an issue before shooting Twilight as Hardwicke tells Time that the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was somewhat too intense and that she spoke to Robert Pattinson about it. "After I cast him," said Hardwicke in the interview, "I told Rob, Don't even think about having a romance with her," Adding, "She's under 18. You will be arrested."
Since Catherine Hardwicke cast both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the first Twilight Saga film, Hardwicke knows Pattinson and Stewart well. Still, Catherine Hardwicke can't confirm anything since Twilight, only what Kristen Stewart has told her. "I didn't have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say," Hardwicke admitted. "But in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn't happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film. I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person."
